2012 Events & Exhibitions
Welcome! At the heart of each of my compositions is a love for cultivating extensive botanicals and documenting their associated flowers and fruits. My interest in plants and gardening has been with me since childhood, and led to my degrees in Botany and Horticulture. I grow everything you will find in my compositions. For the past 30 years I have also personally handprinted each of my compositions in the traditional darkroom from a film negative, created with my beloved Mamiya RZ-67. This medium-format camera has long been used for professional portraiture, which is why I found it perfect for this subject matter. In order to meet my precise standards for color and quality, each print undergoes a very time-consuming path and follows archival museum methods. The finished prints are not digital nor color enhanced in any way. Those familiar with film and the darkroom (there are still a few of us out there ; ) will appreciate knowing that each is an original. Each composition featured here is also absolutely limited in number. As such, their prices may change subject to availability.
